The centre opened in 1985 as the Bundaberg Skating Rink, built and run by the Zeeman family.
This centre would have to be one of the largest skate floors left in the country.Today the centre has had a name change to Extreme Zone – Skate Centre & Amusement Arcade. The centre offers great family entertainment along with the physical / exercise that skating offers.
The centre today has been renovated and some additions that will help keep everyone coming back to enjoy the cheapest form of entertainment for all ages in Bundaberg.
Great light show, latest technology computerized sound system boasting over 5000 songs, heaps of games and give-a-ways each session, new canteen area with cold drinks (including Slush Puppies) – chips – ice-creams – lollies – hot food atsome sessions, skate sales/repairs and the separate amusement area.
We a very particular when it comes to safety and the centre rules!

Centre Rules – Conditions of entry
Management Reserves the Right to Refuse entry to any person and also ask any person to leave the centre at any time.
• No acting in such a manner as to endanger any other person
• We recommend safety equipment is worn at all times
• No use of the ramps unless full protective equipment is worn and you are an experienced skater
• No hire skates or blades are permitted on the ramps at any time
• No Swearing, No petting, No fighting
• No smoking in or out of the centre
• No alcohol – or arriving under the influence (breath analysis maybe requested)
• No loitering in the car park area
• No food or drinks are permitted to be brought into the centre
• No pets
• Shocks must be worn, high socks required for boot style skates and blades
• You must return any damaged or unsafe hire skates or blades immediately for repairs and/or replacement
• Aggressive behavior will not be tolerated at any time by any person
• We support all Occupational Health & Safety Rules and Regulations which impact on the centre and ask everyone to follow instructions given by management or any agents
• Advise us where you find something maybe damaged or unsafe sothat we can isolate the item and repair
The centre has a First Aid Area along with trained First Aiders
